The Future is Bright – An ICAA Convention Recap

Insulation Contractors Association of America convention Recap | via TAPED, the ECHOtape blog

We’re back and better than ever!! At least that’s how it felt after our nine year trade show hiatus. And what better place to get reacclimated than the Insulation Contractors Association of America convention, titled, “The Future is Bright,” at the Disney Contemporary Resort in Orlando from Sept. 18-20. Indeed, the future does look bright with market growth being fueled by various states increasing their statutory energy codes due to the need to save energy. Great news after years spent battling the economic downturn, right??

ECHOtape used the event to feature our new Insulation Tape line, which we announced in June. The new product line features All Purpose Aluminum Foil Tape, an All Purpose White Aluminum Foil Tape, an All Temperature FSK Insulation Tape, and a Cold Weather Double Coated Polyester Tape. To showcase the product line, we were very excited to unveil the new ECHOtape booth, an all-in-one utility that features a welcome station to greet customers, display cubes to display our new products, a backdrop with new graphics that reflects the new company brochure, and even secret compartments where we can store all of our supplies. The booth took a while to assemble and dismantle, but we’ll be pros at it in no time.

Our nook on the floor was bubbling with energy. Sitting next to us was Selena USA, and we give a special shout-out to their booth representative Glenn Kallgren, who was a fantastic neighbor. Across from us was Insulation Solutions, who did a great job entertaining us all the while giving away lots of schwag (in orange, my favorite color!) and really showing us how things get done at conventions. Overall, the atmosphere was the perfect one for ECHOtape to get reacclimated as it was small and intimate and allowed for us the opportunity to to meet and get to know about various people and companies in the industry.

ECHOtape’s booth at conventions will be a work in progress as we learn from each show, so we shall continue to solicit feedback, opinions, and tips on getting the most from these business-to-business trade shows. One thing is for sure – as long as we continue to get phenomenal help from ECHOtape people like Mike Grevatt (VP of Sales) and Evan Johnson (East Coast Representative) and have great convention buddies like Selena and Insulation Solutions, ECHOtape will solidify itself as the premier provider of industrial tape products.
